What is BC Dive Community© ?

BC Dive Community is an open non-profit network of people and organizations in the diving industry of British Columbia in a wide range of activities. It includes recreational diving, commercial diving, diving for research, search and rescue and even members that provide services to divers such as hospitality, training etc.

We do not have a formal structure as we want BC Dive Community to be unbiased, and run by the members. Each member can join, propose and give input to projects.

Rules of conduct:

Membership is free. BC Dive Community reserves the right to refuse membership applications. Members have equal rights in participation, input, voting concerning programs, projects, opportunities and proposals. Members can use BC Dive Community as a platform to express views, opinions and information to its members. Digressing conduct, slander, and other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and can be reason for immediate termination of membership. If a member wishes to terminate it’s membership the member needs to advise the overall moderator /facilitator in writing.

Members are required to inform BC Dive Community of any changes in address or termination of business activity. Membership information and address information is not to be used for spam that has no relationship with the activities of BC Dive Community. Providing this address information to outside parties, unless the member(s) concerned have given express permission, is not allowed.

BC Dive Community is not about and will not “police” members to check if their business practices are within legal boundaries. However if a member is found to be involved in illegal activities BC Dive Community may terminate membership immediately.

BC DIVE COMMUNITY EXPLICITLY DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY FROM ANY PARTY FOR ERRORS IN INFORMATION, ACTIONS OF INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS OR CONSEQUENCES THEREOF.
